Kiwanis K-Kids’ Club is open to all students in 1st – 5th grades. K-Kids get to learn about neighbors-in-need in Sammamish, Seattle & in foreign countries, along with the needs of distressed animals, and the environment.  Members choose whom/what to help and then decide how to facilitate those service projects from start to finish.  All K-Kids are leaders to their school and community.   More info: http://www.kkids.org/kkids/

Give it to a homeless person who needs to carry everything they own at all times. Have your child drop their gently-used backpacks in the K-Kids’ donation box in the school foyer by noon on Tuesday, June 26th. All are welcome to join Kiwanis K-Kids in giving these backpacks, which will be filled with hygiene kits, & donated emergency foods, to the homeless.  We will meet at noon on June 26th at CRE to carpool to Seattle and serve a hot lunch with Operation: Sack Lunch & distribute the backpacks.  We will be back to CRE by 2:30. Please RSVP to Susan Evans at 313-0642 or s-evans@comcast.net.  More info about OSL at http://www.opsacklunch.org/ .

THANK YOU to all CRE families for your generosity this year!

Thank you for clothing the homeless served by Chief Seattle & children at Eastside Baby Corner; for feeding neighbors-in-need through the Issaquah Food Bank & pets at the Humane Society, helping orphans & children-in-need in Mexico, providing socks & hygiene items for the homeless.   It is so amazing to see that no matter how many requests for donations are given, Cascade Ridge families give abundantly to each outreach as if it were the only one of the year.   Thank you – you are a truly generous and compassionate community! Thank you from Kiwanis K-Kids Club and all those whose lives you have changed forever!
